The Beep Powerloom Operator Skills certification checks whether you understand how a loom makes cloth — the primary motions of shedding, picking and beating-up, the jobs of the shuttle, reed and temples, and how warp and weft are prepared and measured in picks per inch.
It also covers stop motions that halt the loom when a thread breaks, spotting defects such as broken ends, starting marks and floats, routine oiling without staining the cloth, and working safely on a noisy loom-shed floor.
The assessment takes about 7 minutes, is auto-scored, and produces a certificate with a unique verifiable ID you can share with anyone. Beep is backed by Shark Tank India, Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups and AWS, with over 1 lakh people certified across 300+ fields.

Powerloom Operator Skills certification FAQs
Is this a government powerloom scheme, NSDC or ITI weaving certificate?
No. This is Beep's own knowledge assessment, issued and assessed by Beep only. It has no affiliation with the Ministry of Textiles, any powerloom service centre or scheme, NSDC, any sector skill council, ITI/NCVT, government body or loom brand. It is not a licence or an official trade certificate.
Does it cover shuttleless looms?
The quiz is built around common shuttle powerlooms, but the loom motions, defects, maintenance and safety it tests apply across most weaving machines.
How is this different from the Textile Management certification on Beep?
Textile Management covers the business side — fibres, merchandising, lab dips and delivery planning. This one is about running a loom on the shed floor.
