Generative AI Certification
In short: The Beep Generative AI certificate is an online, automatically scored assessment of about 7 minutes covering LLM foundations, Model behaviour and Prompt design. Score 50% or more and Beep issues a certificate with a unique ID that anyone can check at https://certificates.eventbeep.com/verify. Beep certifies over 300 fields and is backed by Shark Tank India, Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups and AWS.

Beep's Generative AI certification tests whether you understand how large language models actually work, not just how to type a clever prompt. It starts with foundations — what LLM stands for, what a token is, and what a model's context window limits — before moving into model behaviour: what the temperature setting controls, what a hallucination actually is, and how fine-tuning differs from prompting.
A significant part of the assessment covers retrieval-augmented generation, which is now central to most production GenAI systems: what RAG stands for, what an embedding is in a retrieval pipeline, which problem RAG is meant to reduce, and how to diagnose a case where retrieval succeeds but the answer is still wrong. It also tests evaluation discipline — why held-out test sets matter when comparing prompt versions, and the methodological problem with an LLM judging its own model's output — plus responsible deployment, including how to mitigate prompt-injection risk when a model processes untrusted content.
The test takes about seven minutes and is scored automatically. Your certificate carries a unique ID that can be checked on Beep's verification page. Beep is backed by Shark Tank India, Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups and AWS, and has certified over 1 lakh people across 300+ fields.

What the Generative AI assessment tests
LLM foundations
What tokens are, what LLM stands for, and what a model's context window limits.
Model behaviour
What temperature controls, what hallucination means, and how fine-tuning differs from prompting.
Prompt design
Few-shot prompting and the role of a system prompt in shaping model behaviour.
Retrieval and grounding
RAG architecture, embeddings, and diagnosing failures when retrieval succeeds but the answer is still wrong.
Evaluation and responsible deployment
Held-out evaluation sets, the risks of self-graded LLM judges, and mitigating prompt-injection attacks.
Who this certification is for
Product managers and engineers building features on top of LLMs, prompt engineers, data scientists moving into GenAI work, and analysts or founders evaluating GenAI vendors or tools who want a verifiable check of practical, production-relevant generative AI knowledge.
What the credential is useful for
- Add a verifiable Generative AI credential to a product, engineering or data science profile.
- Show recruiters or clients a certificate ID they can check when you claim GenAI expertise.
- Identify gaps in retrieval, evaluation or responsible-deployment knowledge before shipping an LLM feature.
Generative AI certification FAQs
Do I need to have built a RAG pipeline to pass this test?
No hands-on build is required, but you should understand what embeddings and retrieval do and be able to reason about why a grounded system can still answer incorrectly.
How does this differ from Beep's Artificial Intelligence certification?
The AI certification is broader, covering classical machine learning concepts and ethics. Generative AI focuses specifically on LLMs, prompting, retrieval-augmented generation and responsible deployment of generative systems.
Does the test cover specific tools like ChatGPT or particular vector databases?
No. It tests the underlying concepts — tokens, context windows, embeddings, RAG, evaluation — that apply across tools rather than any single product.
