The Beep Commercial Truck Driver Skills certification checks whether you understand how a loaded truck is driven and looked after on long routes — the pre-trip check of tyres, brakes, lights and ropes, placing heavy cargo low and even, and the damage overloading does to brakes, tyres and axles.
It also covers the road itself: engine braking in a low gear on ghat descents, keeping a longer gap, reversing with a helper, the rear-wheel cut-in on a left turn, the first rain, stopping when sleepy, steady-speed fuel saving, spotting a hot tyre, the trailer tug test, jack-knifing and tanker surge.
The assessment takes about 7 minutes, is auto-scored, and produces a certificate with a unique verifiable ID you can share with anyone. It is a knowledge certificate only and never a driving licence. Beep is backed by Shark Tank India, Google for Startups, Microsoft for Startups and AWS, with over 1 lakh people certified across 300+ fields.

Commercial Truck Driver Skills certification FAQs
Is this a driving licence or a heavy vehicle licence?
No. This is Beep's own knowledge assessment, issued and assessed by Beep only. It is never a driving licence, a transport vehicle endorsement or proof that you may drive any vehicle. You still need a valid licence from the transport authority to drive. It has no affiliation with any RTO, NSDC, sector skill council, government body or vehicle brand.
Does it test traffic rules and fines?
No. It does not quote fine amounts or rule numbers, which can change. It checks practical knowledge of truck care, loading and safe driving.
How is this different from the Diesel Truck Mechanic certification on Beep?
That certification is for mechanics who repair trucks — fuel injection, air-brake parts and emission systems. This one is for drivers, and covers checks, loading and driving a truck safely.
